Agreement
By downloading, installing, or using Callisto, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The Service
Callisto is a menu bar only macOS application for viewing and managing meetings stored in Google Calendar. The app can show upcoming events, open meeting links, sync selected calendars, and perform event actions you choose, such as RSVP updates or deleting/removing events when your Google account permissions allow it.
Google Account Access
Some Callisto features require you to connect a Google account and grant Google Calendar permissions. You are responsible for the Google account you connect, the calendars you access, and the event actions you perform through Callisto. Google services remain governed by Google's own terms and policies.
Your Responsibilities
You agree not to use Callisto to:
- Access calendars or events that you are not authorized to access.
- Interfere with Google Calendar, GitHub, Cloudflare, or any related service.
- Violate applicable law, third-party rights, or workplace policies that apply to your calendar data.
- Reverse engineer, redistribute, or modify Callisto except where allowed by applicable law or an applicable open-source license.
Local Data and Privacy
Callisto stores OAuth tokens in the macOS Keychain and stores app data locally on your Mac. The Privacy Policy explains what data Callisto accesses, how that data is used, and how to remove local account access.
Updates and Downloads
Callisto may check for app updates using Sparkle and GitHub release metadata. Downloading or updating the app may involve GitHub and normal network connection data handled by GitHub or your network provider.
Availability and Changes
Callisto is provided as an evolving app. Features may change, break, be removed, or depend on third-party services that change independently, including Google Calendar APIs, GitHub releases, Cloudflare hosting, and macOS platform behavior.
No Warranty
Callisto is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. The app may contain bugs or display incomplete, delayed, or incorrect calendar information. Always verify important meeting details in Google Calendar or the original meeting source.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Callisto maintainers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, missed meetings, business interruption, or calendar changes made through your account.
Termination
You may stop using Callisto at any time. You may remove connected Google accounts in the app and revoke Callisto's access from your Google Account. Access to Callisto may be changed or discontinued at any time.
Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated as Callisto changes. Continued use of Callisto after an updated version is published means you accept the updated terms.
Contact
For questions about these terms, contact the Callisto maintainers through GitHub Issues.
